Roland Park

This project includes a living room built-in and a complete kitchen and bathroom renovation. The homeowner had a modern aesthetic and a large collection of books. The painted cabinet sides match the color of the trim paint used in the rest of the house. (We can match existing colors and moldings.) The sapele wood veneer shelves accentuate the horizontal lines and play off of other sapele used throughout the first floor.

The kitchen features custom sequenced ribbon striped sapele veneer, which basically means that all of the veneer comes from the same part of the same tree. As you move across the cabinetry, the figure repeats and gradually modulates as you, in essence, move through the tree. The large island serves as an excellent place to setup a buffet during a party, or eat breakfast with your kid.

The color play in the bathroom gives a lively but warm feel. A bi-folding door was used on the cabinet next to the toilet to give good access in a tight space.
